Top Coffee Roasters in Ireland

Ireland punches well above its size in specialty coffee. Dublin developed one of Europe's more serious third-wave scenes in the 2010s, anchored by 3fe, and the culture has since spread west — Calendar Coffee in Galway is one of the most-cited roasters in the country. The roasters here are known for transparency reporting and competition pedigree rather than volume.

    Galway, Ireland

A specialty roaster and café on Ireland's Atlantic west coast in Galway, Calendar Coffee rotates its colourful, seasonal lineup with the harvests and publishes an annual impact report detailing producer prices paid and its environmental footprint.

  2. 2
    3FE
    Dublin, Ireland

Founded by Colin Harmon in 2009 as a cart in a Dublin nightclub lobby, 3fe — short for Third Floor Espresso — grew into one of Ireland's defining specialty roasters. Harmon is a four-time Irish Barista Champion who placed fourth at the 2009 World Barista Championship, and the roastery now supplies a network of Dublin cafés.

    Dublin, Ireland

Dublin City's first micro coffee roastery, Cloud Picker roasts small-batch, single-origin coffee to order from its Crumlin roastery-dispensary, with cafés on Pearse Street and at Dublin Airport. The Coffeevine called it 'Ireland's shining star.'
