Founded in 1998, Campesino Organic Coffee in Americus, Georgia, is known as the state’s first and only 100% fair trade, organic specialty coffee roaster.[2][1] It operates as a cooperative importer and small-batch roaster, sourcing directly from smallholder farmer cooperatives through Cooperative Coffees, which it co-founded to build a more transparent supply chain.[2] The roaster’s lineup includes single origins, blends, espressos, and decaf, with an emphasis on freshness and direct trade relationships rather than volume-driven roasting.[4]
