Little Foot Coffee Roasters

Littlefoot Coffee Roasters launched in 2017 out of Grandville, Michigan, built around the roasting expertise of co-founder Alex Burbo, who spent eight years at Intelligentsia — rising to head roaster — and subsequently served as head roaster at Metric Coffee before co-founding Littlefoot with Rosie Quasarano and her sister Mary. The roastery is located at 3049 Broadway Ave SW in Grandville and operates a tasting-room space called the "Cabin Room" where visitors can drop in Monday through Saturday.

The roaster maintains a rotating seasonal menu of roughly eight to ten offerings at any given time, each from a distinct origin with its own flavor profile. They emphasize direct relationships with farmers where possible and fair-trade pricing across the board; no flavored coffees are offered, and any tasting notes on labels reflect what is naturally present in the bean. Their wholesale program serves cafes, bakeries, grocery stores, and boutiques, with an offering that includes exclusive lot selection, custom blend creation, and co-branded retail packaging.

In a profile by the MSU Product Center recognizing Littlefoot as its 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year, Rosie Quasarano described the company's pivot during the pandemic — growing online retail and grocery channels — and noted the launch of the Littlefoot Coffee Fund, which converted a portion of retail profits into future coffee credits for wholesale partners forced to close, ultimately generating over 120 pounds of coffee in donated credit.
