Unapologetic Coffee

Unapologetic Coffee is a Black- and women-owned roaster in Buffalo that small-batch roasts on site and sources beans directly from family farms and collectives in South America and Africa. Founded by twin sisters Alicia and Alisa Officer, the company frames coffee as a vehicle for culture, community, and representation in an industry where Black and brown producers have often been sidelined. Its roasting approach emphasizes transparency and careful selection, with each lot tested and tasted in-house before it reaches customers. The business launched in 2022 and also operates a café alongside its roasting operation.
