The Prague-based company has built its identity around sourcing green coffee directly from farms and roasting daily — a straightforward proposition that has kept it running for what the company now bills as over two decades. The roastery predates much of the regional specialty wave that gained momentum in the 2010s. Its longevity in the Czech market, where specialty infrastructure has matured considerably since then, suggests it navigated the shift from niche to mainstream without pivoting its core model. The company sells direct-to-consumer via its Czech-language webshop, with free shipping on orders above 900 CZK (roughly €37).

Coffee Source's catalog divides cleanly into blends and single origins across two brew methods, plus a capsule line. Its espresso blends — Black Blend (Brazil/Guatemala), Dark Star (Brazil/Ethiopia), and White Blend (Brazil/Ethiopia) — are positioned along a sweetness-to-bitterness axis, with tasting notes ranging from milk chocolate and marzipan to dark chocolate, dried plums, and jasmine. An organic blend (Bio Směs) runs the same Brazil/Ethiopia base. Filter single origins skew toward naturally processed and experimental lots: a co-fermented Colombia from producer Jairo Arcila, an anaerobic Ethiopian from Bombe, a natural Rwandan from Cyato station, and a washed Kenyan from Massai. Limited-edition releases appear seasonally, including an Indonesian natural ("Láska") offered across both espresso and filter.
