Doubleshot

Doubleshot is a Prague-based specialty coffee roaster and cafe operator co-founded by Jarda Tucek, alongside partners including Kamilla Sotonova, with direct-trade sourcing at the center of its identity. The roaster purchases coffee directly from producers across multiple continents, maintaining what it describes as long-term personal relationships with each farm — a sourcing posture that shapes everything from its espresso blends to its single-origin seasonal releases.

Doubleshot has grown from a roasting operation into one of Prague's more recognizable specialty coffee businesses, now operating three cafes in the city. Its flagship cafe, Muj salek kavy, earned recognition from Taste of Prague as one of the best in the city. The 2015 ownership structure cited by The Girl in the Cafe — three co-owners across the business — reflects the kind of founder-led, closely held model common among Europe's first wave of serious specialty roasters.

The roasting lineup is organized into three flavor-profile tiers, each color-coded on packaging to help customers navigate the range. The entry-level offerings lean accessible; the Farm series highlights specific origins — current examples include an Ethiopian Kokosa washed and a Burundian Mikuba honey-process bourbon. At the top sits Extra, a rotating seasonal single-origin espresso described as juicy, exotic, and aimed at experienced palates. Era, the house flagship espresso, anchors the everyday lineup. Beyond whole-bean, Doubleshot also produces brew bags under the Flirt label and a limited-edition capsule line called Fun, with a proprietary capsule machine sold through the webshop.
